I enjoyed having my facials in beauty salons because my skin always feel good & glowing after it. I also strongly believe that oil, dirt & makeup products will remain in some of my pores even when I do double cleansing on my face twice daily.
As an Asian, we have a different set of skin problems from other ethnicity groups. Our skin tends to lose moisture easily because of its thinness & the dehydrated skin will be prone to more serious issues such as sensitive skin, allergies, & environmental aggressors. Excess sebum left on these areas will lead to inflammatory acnes, rough skin & enlarged pores. The wearing of safety masks because of Covid 19 makes maskne trending & on a roll. THE LOCATION
The outlet at Paya Lebar Square is located at Basement 1, donning a really chic and luxurious shop front. Spot the beautiful floral wall and I’m sure no one will miss it if they ever walked past the shop!
As usual, all new customers to the beauty salon will have to complete a two-page questionnaire for the beauticians to understand our needs and expectations correctly.
Further to the two-page questionnaire, they will also be doing a skin analysis with a scanner apparatus on our face. If you have struggled long enough with skin problems, you will know that there is no one-method-fits-all solution. Asian Skin Solution know the importance of treating a problem at its root hence going through such detailed skin analysis is really essential!
After scanning, I’m rather surprised to see the results of my in-depth analysis. The results showed I have clean pores and sufficient moisture on my skin but because I have super thin keratin, fine lines have started appearing. Super thin keratin also means thin skin hence my skin is subjected to sensitivity & lost of moisture really easily.
THE TREATMENT
Time to get changed into their signature grey tube wrap and welcome to the cosy treatment room of mine. I really like the major color of sleek piano-white throughout the salon, so classy! Asian Skin Solution even put duvet on the treatment bed and it is so comfortable that I felt like I was floating on a cloud throughout the treatment!
With my areas of concern diagnosed, my beautician introduced their LLLT (Low Level Laser Treatment) with Omega Light to me. This treatment is targeted to strengthen the skin, brighten my complexion & lighten pigmentations from brownish acne scars – with the use of different colored lights alongside facial procedures. This treatment sounds really scientific and I’m excited about it! 🌈
LLLT is a painless process to rejuvenate the skin by emitting different wavelengths of light energy deep into the skin layer, promoting cell growth & improving skin conditions for cosmetic effects. This treatment is great because it can be effective yet gentle enough even on the most sensitive skin. My skin is feeling calmed & relaxed throughout the treatment, not even a bit of irritation!
There are 6 types of colored light energy with LLLT, and each of them carries a different function to target on the areas of concern. My beautician chosen red & blue light energy for me because I need better blood circulation, relieving of my fine lines while repairing my acne scars.
