With each port of call, my journey aboard the Genting Dream unfolded like a series of exhilarating chapters. From immersing in the vibrant lineup of programs to embarking on heart-pounding shore excursions, monotony became a foreign concept, thanks to the cruise’s enchanting offerings. The experience was a vivid palette of vibrant hues that painted a world where boredom held no place!

The diverse entertainment options catered to every taste, ensuring that each soul on board found something captivating. I indulged in engaging plays at the arcade room, challenged myself with workouts at the fitness center and run track, and even discovered hidden talents through creative workshops or even bargained shopping deals at huge discounts. And when tranquility beckoned, I found solace by the pool or in the ship’s serene corners, letting the soothing sounds of the sea wash over me.

I was treated to mesmerizing live performances that left me spellbound. Beneath the starlit sky, I allowed myself to get lost in the enchantment of a breezy night walk. The Foam Party infused the air with contagious energy, turning every moment onboard into a memory worth treasuring. Entertainment is readily available, with shows, live performances, and various activities to keep you engaged throughout the day.

3. A Gastronomic Adventure for the Senses

The culinary odyssey aboard the Genting Dream was truly remarkable. The ship’s dining options, inspired by cuisines from around the world, painted a vivid array of flavors. Each meal was a masterpiece, artfully prepared and presented with meticulous care. I enjoyed healthier choices at Crystal Life Cuisine, the alfresco Steamboat alongside the sunset and sea breeze, in addition to the abundance of eating options we had – four meals a day, including supper. The array of dining options caters to different tastes and dietary preferences, offering everything from fine dining to casual buffets. The choice is yours to savor.

During my cruise, they also had the ‘SAVOUR AROUND THE WORLD’ onboard program, featuring an international snack store, an international Food Fare, and a ‘Foodielicious’ themed Jacuzzi. It was incredibly fun, and the food from the fare didn’t disappoint; it was distinct from what the restaurants were offering. Whether I craved a taste of the world’s flavors or yearned for a gourmet affair, the ship’s variety of dining venues never failed to satisfy me. Embarking on a daily culinary odyssey that spanned continents became a delightful ritual. The ship’s diverse gastronomic offerings tantalized my taste buds, allowing me to savor flavors from around the globe without leaving the comfort of the ship.

Moreover, the room’s thoughtful design incorporates hidden storage for our belongings, creating ample space to move around freely. The well-arranged power outlets were a bonus, allowing both my partner and me to charge our devices without any fuss. These seemingly small details shouldn’t be underestimated – having stayed in hotels lacking such conveniences in the past, I truly value how they enhance the overall experience.

This world-class Keppel Bay waterfront precinct sits on the site that was once Keppel Shipyard in the 1960s. Through Keppel’s intensive clean-up efforts, Keppel Bay is now an underwater sanctuary teeming with marine life.

Marina at Keppel Bay was constructed based on an open concept which allows water to flow freely through the entire basin during the change of tides, with nutrients and plankton being carried through the waters as currents flow. As a result, the marina is now home to a vibrant aquatic community of more than 129 different species of marine life. The City Reef at Keppel Bay project is an initiative to spread awareness and encourage conservation of marine life in the marina’s waters.

Some of the underwater flora and fauna in the marina’s waters include cave corals, brightly coloured clown fish, juvenile batfish, tiger tail seahorse and even sea turtles. Marina at Keppel Bay takes an active role in minimising hazards that could potentially impact the environment. Along the pontoons, the reticulated vacuum sewer pump-out system discourages boaters from discharging their black and grey water into the waters.

Boat owners are recommended to install four-stroke engines in their boats, as opposed to two-stroke, to reduce exhaust pollution. They are also encouraged to use biodegradable washing liquids and detergents during vessel-cleaning. The Marina also uses compost fertilizers to prevent damage to the marine life in the waters should there be any wash off from land.

Fishing and installation of fishing traps are also prohibited in the marina. This helps to sustain a well- balanced eco-system and food chain amongst the marine life. These efforts are further reinforced with the launch of the Marina Guide – a book of rules which all boat owners are required to adhere to.
