I decided to give CoolSculpting Elite at Halley Body Slimming Clinic a try since the fats around my tummy and flanks are persistent, and also after reading many successful reviews on this procedure. This is a great self love I give to myself, besides embarking on a healthier lifestyle such as eating lesser meats & dairy products, as well as doing a 45-mins cardio thrice weekly.

Who is a good candidate for CoolSculpting Elite?

CoolSculpting Elite works best for people with a body mass index (BMI) of less than 25 and is having at least ⅔ of an inch of pinch-able fats in order to fit into the CoolSculpting Elite’s applicator.

I am a good candidate for CoolSculpting Elite as I am already starting my healthier lifestyle but still has problem areas that are resistant to diet and exercise. If I’m too big, more treatments are needed to see an outcome, which are going to be costly. Anyway you are unable to have CoolSculpting Elite on the areas with wound, scar tissue, or skin condition until they are being resolved.

What happened during the CoolSculpting Elite procedure?

Each CoolSculpting Elite treatment for an area will take 35 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated. At Halley Body Slimming Clinic, Dr Terence Tan offers QuadSculpting , a fat reduction method using four CoolSculpting Elite devices at the same time to reduce the overall treatment time.

For precise application, Dr. Terence Tan used the CoolSculpting Elite templates to map out the specific areas I am targeting on with marker pens. A protective gel pad is being placed over my skin before applying the applicator to the treatment area. At this point, the treated area has its temperature lowered till -10ºC – the effective temperature to freeze and kill the fat cells.

When the treatment time is up, Dr Terence Tan removed the applicator and massage the frozen fat / “butter cake” (because it looks so much like a frozen lump of butter) to kick-start the process of excreting dead fat cells. The treated area is tender and sore to touch at this point of time but got better after the massage is done.

Dr. Terence Tan prescribed a total of 12 CoolSculpting Elite applicators to treat my stubborn fat on tummy and flanks. Compared to the legacy CoolSculpting applicators, CoolSculpting Elite range of applicators can reduce treatment time greatly! A traditional CoolSculpting applicator takes 60 minutes but this duration is reduced to 35 minutes with the CoolSculpting Elite applicator. The CoolSculpting Elite range of applicators also features an enhanced cup design for improved comfort as well as a larger cooling area to treat a bigger area.

Does CoolSculpting Elite works?

CoolSculpting Elite removes 20-25% of fat cells in the treated area each time. And because our body is unable to produce new fat cells after age of five years, the fat cells that died from the fat freezing treatment will not reappear. This is why CoolSculpting Elite is effective to remove unwanted fat which cannot be removed through exercises.

How well does CoolSculpting Elite works also depend greatly on the doctor, who is willing to pay attention throughout the procedure since the planning and assessment on the procedure are really important – not about putting on the device solely.

A: Nope. CoolSculpting Elite is not a weight loss solution but a medically proven body contouring fat-reduction method.

Q: Does CoolSculpting Elite hurt?
A: I experienced discomfort such as aching and pulling from the suction from the applicator initially. Once the treated area is cooled till -10ºC, the mentioned symptoms subsided. I felt really comfortable thereafter and could even do my work on the phone.

Q: Is CoolSculpting Elite safe?
A: CoolSculpting Elite is FDA-approved as a safe medical treatment but patient must meet the criteria as a suitable candidate. Q: What are the risks and potential side effects of CoolSculpting Elite?

Q: What is recovery of CoolSculpting Elite like?

A: The second treatment should be scheduled within 30 to 60 days as it can enhance the treatment result greatly. The first treatment triggers an inflammatory response around the fat cells that dissipates in 60 to 90 days, & a second treatment within the first 60 days generates a stronger inflammatory response, leading to greater fat reduction. The number of treated areas may also be reduced since your fat cells have been flushed out from the body after the first treatment.

Q: How long does it take to see CoolSculpting Elite results?
A: I saw result within a month but majority should see the result within two months. The body will continue to eliminate the treated fat cells for up to three months post-treatment. If you are planning to get CoolSculpting Elite for an event, make sure you schedule it way earlier in order to enjoy its full visible effect.

Q: Why CoolSculpting Elite took so long to deliver results?
A: CoolSculpting Elite releases the fats to be metabolized and eliminated according to our individual biology. To speed up, drinking plenty of water and exercising will help.

Q: Is the result from CoolSculpting Elite permanent?
A: The frozen fat cells killed by CoolSculpting Elite are permanently gone. A healthy diet and regular exercise will help to maintain. Gaining weight will cause the remaining fat cells in the treated areas to expand, developing surface irregularities.

I will also be busy doing spring cleaning as it symbolizes removing negativity in the year to welcoming the positive ones in the coming new year.
